I posted a question, and someone thought that lavender is light purple, and lilac is darker. I think they%26#039;re both light, but lavender is more pink, and lilac is more bluish. Any artists know?

How deep of a color is lilac? Are there lighter tints and darker shades of the same thing?
You are right in this one. Both are very pale shades of purple...lavander has a pink tint to it (meaning it essentially has more red) while Lilac is a bit more to the blue side. They are similar colors, in the same family, just differ in the content of primary colors.
