Does lilac and gold go good together?

I%26#039;m wanting my wedding colors to be lilac and gold, but I wasn%26#039;t sure if that would look good together. So I was thinking maybe lilac and silver? I want a purple color of some kind, but I%26#039;m not sure what colors to choose. I really like gold or silver, though my friend%26#039;s wedding is coming up before mine and she choose silver to be her second color and I don%26#039;t want her to think I%26#039;m copying. What should I do? What color purple would gold go with?

Does lilac and gold go good together?
I really think that would look great together.. but I wouldn%26#039;t get that REALLY shiny gold.. or keep it to a minimum.. like just use it sparingly in your decorations just for a little something. Use the gold that is more matte. good luck!! I think it would look awesome together!
Reply:purple and gold are so classy looking!! purple was one of the colors from my wedding. good luck.
Reply:If you use a really pale, champagne gold I think it could look nice.
Reply:I think it could work, but you don%26#039;t want to use a very yellow looking gold. Try to find a color that%26#039;s between silver and gold, almost like a metallic champagne. That would look beautiful with lilac.
Reply:They do go together, but I always loved lilac and silver together much more. Actually, before my fiance%26#039; and I decided on a fall wedding, we were going to have a spring wedding with lilac and silver for colors.
Reply:It is your wedding so it is ideally up to you and your future husband. If you are going with lilac I personally think silver would be a prettier contrast. The lighter the shade you should go with silver for contrast. The darker the purple you could get away with either gold or silver.

Good Luck/wish you and your future spouse the very best.

(I got married last July 21, 2007)**Just take time to remember to take time and take it all in, and have fun!!
